Ciaran's Bonneville T100 Scrambler Build

Ciaran's Bonneville T100 Scrambler Build

Some projects start with a vision, others start with a tear-down. This one began as a brand-new 2024 Triumph Bonneville T100, and quickly became something else entirely.

Stripped back to its bones, a ground down frame and a reshape of the silhouette with a custom rear subframe hoop. Ciaran then capped it off by fabricating a 6-inch brushed aluminium rear fender - short, purposeful, and true to the scrambler spirit.

Suspension got a serious upgrade. Out went the stock setup, in came Öhlins front forks mounted with billet triple clamps, paired with Öhlins piggyback shocks out back. Both ends were finished with brushed aluminium fenders, giving the build its aggressive, off-road stance from the very first glance.

Inspired by 1960s-era desert sleds - the kind of bikes that roared across California sand - this newest build is a nod to heritage, clearly seen via the dual high pipes, custom-crafted by British Customs. To match the performance with control, Brembo brakes were fitted front and rear.

Every detail on the cockpit was considered: billet bar switches and a Moto Gadget dash keep the handlebars clean, stripped of clutter but full of function.

Ciaran went with a tall 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear, both wrapped in semi-aggressive knobby tires. It nails the desert sled aesthetic while making sure the bike is as ready for dirt as it is for tarmac.

Touches of individuality finish it all off. CNC-machined tank badges give the Bonneville its own identity, while every piece of aluminium was hand-brushed, then sealed under a satin clear coat. The result is a raw, honest finish that celebrates the craftsmanship instead of hiding it.

This is more than a modern Bonneville, it’s a tribute to a golden age of desert racing, rebuilt with today’s performance parts.
