Getting Sideways with Tasik Adventure

ENGLISH TEXT BELOW

Jujur saja, trek tahun lalu cukup mengecewakan.
Daftarnya panjang sekali. Mulai dari "Modified Underbone Trail Bike Open Class (Under 150cc)", "Modified 4-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 250cc)", "Modified 2-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 150cc)", "Free For All Open Class - Modified 2-Stroke & 4-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 250cc)", "Open Special Engine Class", "Special Beginner Class - Standard Bike (Under 155cc)", "Special Beginner Class - Adventure Overland Style Bike (Under 250cc)", "Free For All - Custom "Sleeper" Bike (Under 150cc)", "Free For All - Custom Bike (Under 250cc)", "Free For All - Custom Chopper (Under 250cc)", sampai "Free For All - Custom Big Bore (Up to 400cc)".
Kami ikut mendaftar di hampir semua kelas. Bahkan content creator kami, Yoga, ikut mencoba peruntungan di kelas "Sport Trail Modif 4T under 250cc" dengan KLX 140 pribadinya. Gila, dia hampir saja finis di podium sebelum akhirnya disalip di detik-detik terakhir. Geri ikut terjun dalam kelas – "Special Class Pemula". Persaingannya sengit sekali, benar-benar sikut-sikutan. Tapi kami tidak kecewa. Hari ini bukan tentang menang. Ini tentang semangat untuk beraksi. Tentang ikut merasakan atmosfernya.

Tapi tetap, kamu selalu ingin merasakan euforia kemenangan, kan? Dan itulah yang dibawakan oleh Dede Juntha. Setelah terjungkal dan bangkit lagi sepanjang hari, dia berhasil merebut posisi kedua di kelas "FFA Custom Chopper Under 250cc" & Dewa Dimas juga berhasil masuk juara 3rd di kelas FFA 2-Stroke & 4-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 250cc). Sorak-sorai kru kami bergemuruh.
Sangat luar biasa.
The crack of dawn on a Saturday saw us chuckin' three of our race bikes into the back of the van. The crew was buzzing. We’d got a call from the Tasik Adventure mob, and when they say they're throwing a party, you just show up, no questions asked.
You see, the custom scene's gone absolutely mental lately. It's not enough to just have a bike that looks the goods anymore. Nah, everyone's got the itch to see what their creations can ‘do’. And the Tasik crew, they're feeding that beast with their "Balap Jalur Datar" – their third crack at it, but this one was set to be different. This year, they'd moved the whole circus to Mertasari Beach in Sanur.

Last year's track was a bit of a shocker, to be fair. The dirt was properly rooted, impossible to flatten. But this? This was a different game entirely. A sand circuit right on the beach. Proper challenging stuff, the sand reshuffled with every lap. But that's not a reason to stay home, is it? That's the reason you go. To back the independent spirit, to be part of the movement. And we knew, stoked or not, it'd be a hell of a laugh.
They had a whopping eleven classes on the card. The list was longer than a Monday. Everything from " Modified Underbone Trail Bike Open Class (Under 150cc), Modified 4-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 250cc), Modified 2-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 150cc), Free For All Open Class - Modified 2-Stroke & 4-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 250cc), Open Special Engine Class, Special Beginner Class - Standard Bike (Under 155cc), pecial Beginner Class - Adventure Overland Style Bike (Under 250cc), Free For All - Custom "Sleeper" Bike (Under 150cc), Free For All - Custom Bike (Under 250cc), Free For All - Custom Chopper (Under 250cc), Free For All - Custom Big Bore (Up to 400cc).
We threw our hats in the ring for nearly all of 'em. Even our content creator, Yoga, had a red-hot go in the "Sport Trail Modif 4T under 250cc" on his personal KLX 140. The mad lad came super close to a podium finish before getting pipped at the post. Geri? He found himself in a "Special Class Pemula" class. The competition was fierce, proper cut-throat. But we weren't dirty. Today wasn't about winning. It was about the send. About getting amongst it.

Still, you always want a taste of that euphoria that comes with winning, don't ya? And that's where both Dede Juntha and Dewa Dimas delivered. After being spat out and picking himself up all day, Dade snagged a second place in the "FFA Custom Chopper Under 250cc" & Dewa Dimas got 3rd place in FFA 2-Stroke & 4-Stroke Sport Trail Bike (Under 250cc). The roar of support from our crew was epic.
But the real win, the absolute best part of a local gig like this? It's the mob. Catching up with all the other crews. Rider Sing Mebekel, Rotten Road, Naskleng 13, the Monkey Brothers... the list goes on. A sea of handshakes, shit-eating grins, and shared stories. That's the heart of it.
As the sun started to dip, we all gathered in front of this massive, raw bamboo stage they'd built. Dede collected his trophy for second place, a champion's grin on his dial. And just like that, with a final shout from the organisers, another one was in the books.
Nothing left to do but pack the van, skin full of sun, salt and sand, and hearts full of the good stuff.
Bloody magic.
