The second bike of the Sibling Rivalry series and little brother to Boodaak, the eleventh build out of Woolie’s Workshop is called Dakdaak. Designed and built for a local Venice businessman, this is one of the funnest bike builds Woolie’s ever done. “Dakdaak is the pinnacle of all street bikes I’ve built. The way that it handles and rides is just amazing,” proclaims Woolie. The bike runs a Honda CRF450X stage two motor prepped by Jim Wood at Southland racing with two-millimeter oversize stainless steel valves for longevity. The forks, also from the donor CRF450X, were re-valved, shortened and adjusted by Ed Sorbo at Lindeman Engineering. Its tank shape is almost identical to big brother Boodaak and also features a chromoly frame and swingarm but the low slung exhaust and angular radiator scoops give Dakdaak a more aggressive appearance. The seat design was inspired by Porsche Speedster-style humps. The speedo/tach mount replicates a 1940’s style execution by using leather to put the gauge in a soft suspended state. As always much care is given to use as many American made parts as possible. THE DAKDAAK IS CURRENTLY FOR SALE AT THE DEUS VENICE LOCATION. SERIOUS INQUIRIES HERE
Slidetoberfest is what happens when you throw boards, bikes, and Bali into a blender and forget to put the lid on. Born to celebrate the Deus Temple of Enthusiasm’s opening, at fifteen years of age, it’s an annual excuse for organised mayhem… part pilgrimage, part piss-take, all heart.
Some projects start with a vision, others start with a tear-down. This one began as a brand-new 2024 Triumph Bonneville T100, and quickly became something else entirely.
The crack of dawn on a Saturday saw us chuckin' three of our race bikes into the back of the van. The crew was buzzing. We’d got a call from the Tasik Adventure mob, and when they say they're throwing a party, you just show up, no questions asked.
